No city trip without some shopping? In Lisbon you stay away from the major retailers and head for these three gems.
Successful shopping spree guaranteed!

1/ Prado Mercearia

Next to Prado Restaurante and just as nice as its neighbour: Prado Mercearia. Not your average grocery store, as the interior design was done by Ark Studio and the store is a celebration of the very best Portugal has to offer. Locals shop at Prado for delicacies like spices and canned anchovies, while the foodies among us will definitely find the perfect souvenir there. Don’t forget to stop at Prado Restaurante next-door for lunch!

2/ Benamôr 1925

Benamôr is a real Lisboan classic! The beauty brand was founded in 1925 by a mysterious pharmacist whose hand-made beauty recipes were based on natural ingredients. The creams were the best kept secret of the Portuguese queen for years and have been a beauty staple among all layers of the Portuguese population ever since. Bonus points: up until today the products are still wrapped in the original Art Deco packaging.

3/ Casa Pau Brasil

Tipped by Monocle as one of Lisbon's must-visit concept stores and a piece of Brazil in the middle of the Portuguese capital. At Casa Pau Brasil you’ll find a collection of 17 Brazilian brands in a tropical and eclectic atmosphere. Make sure to swing by the bookstore next-door for an outstanding collection of coffee table books.
