Pizza night in Copenhagen? Then Mother is your place to be. They serve the tastiest sourdough pizzas baked in a traditional wood oven and their pizza margherita is in place 43 of the Top 50 best pizzas in the world. Tried & tested is even an understatement!

Hello Vesterbro!

Pizzeria Mother is located in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District, in the Vesterbro quarter. Once the red-light district of the city, now the cradle of artists, writers and other creatives and a real hipster paradise. Kødbyens, the city's former meat market, is known as a foodie hotspot with restaurants as Fiskebaren, Kul and Paté Paté on every corner.

Sixteen year old pizza

The founders of Mother are Italian, but the sourdough finds its origin on a farm in Sweden. Sixteen years ago the mother dough – hence the restaurants name - was created there and up until today this dough is still used as a base for the pizzas. Also, the pizza bottoms are made with sea water, instead of fresh water with salt, which makes our bodies absorb less salt and more minerals when indulging in Mother’s delicious pizzas.

Pizza brunch

On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays Mother is the place to be for a delicious pizza brunch while a jazz band provides the necessary background music. No plans to visit Copenhagen but craving one of these delicious pizzas? Mother also has a restaurant in London!
